The Paris club comes into this contest on the back of 6 consecutive victories across all competitions!

Their win over Lyon over the last weekend, means PSG are now top of the table in their league.

PSG Women has kept 3 clean sheets in the last 5 games, conceding 2 goals during this period. Overall, this season, their defence has kept a clean sheet on 4 occasions.

And in their last Champions League game, they trashed Vllaznia by the scoreline of 4-0.

So one can imagine they will be super confident coming into this one!

On the other hand, Real Madrid came out on top in the first derby of the season after beating Atlético in matchday 12 of the league season.

A powerful header from Kathellen gave Alberto Toril’s side all three points against a tough opponent at the Alfredo Di Stéfano stadium as the madridistas continue their good run of form in December.

They find themselves 2nd to Barcelona in their league, and they are 8 points behind!

And in their last Champions League match they drew 1-1 with group leaders Chelsea.

A Misa own goal salvaged a draw for Chelsea, but denied them qualification to the Champions League knockout stages for now.

Caroline Weir gave Real Madrid lead from Ann-Katrin Berger mistake, and that was that.

Chelsea remain top of Group A by three points with two games to play above PSG and Madrid!

With that said…

At the Parc des Princes, the Group A showdown between PSG and Real Madrid might decide who advances to the knockout round.

Both teams can’t afford to lose, so this matchup should be equally as tight as when the two teams drew 0-0 in Spain earlier this year.

While PSG must travel to Chelsea for their last group encounter, Real Madrid still has one more game against Villaznia to play, thus even if they are two points behind their opponents, Real Madrid will know that a draw wouldn’t be catastrophic in this situation.

They may decide to prioritise defensive stability and the counterattack as a result.

It would be no surprise if the two were cancel each other out again!
