On Sunday, The Gunners emerged victorious against Aston Villa by smashing them 4-1 in the Women’s Super League.
In addition to winning at Villa Park, Arsenal set a new club record by winning eight straight away games in the WSL, giving them eight victories out of nine games this season.
The majority of the game was in favour of the Gunners, but they went down after Hanson intercepted a ball from Kenza Dali and fired a bouncing shot past Zinsberger from the left outside of the Arsenal box.
However, the goal failed to break the visitors’ momentum.
After McCabe’s cross from the byline was diverted by Hannah Hampton onto Corsie, who then redirected the ball into her own goal, Arsenal finally scored the goal they deserved.
A corner then dropped Miedema’s way, and she fired a volley inside the near post.
Again, Hampton’s stop led to their third goal as McCabe had the easy task of converting the rebound after the goalkeeper kicked Stephanie Catley’s cross straight to her.
After that, Foord eluded Danielle Turner to set up Nobbs, who swept home the opportunity to seal a convincing victory!
With that done…
